i played all the mgs games except the 4th one because i never owned a ps3, im still waiting for some remaster or something for the pc or ps4

Well it is Konami so probably never going to happen. That said it is probably the worst of the MGS series so you can skip it.

I already own the HD collection on the PS3 but if they released a new HD collection for the PS4 I totally would buy it just so I wouldn't have to dig out my PS3 and set it up just to play MGS.

MGS4 suffers from the extreme awkwardness of games made in 2006 to 2008 (hard to describe, it's almost like early Gen 7 changed a lot of things), as well as cutscenes that, while well made, are unbearably slow paced. The gameplay is good but seemed less stealth based than the rest.

It's honestly my favorite gameplay in the series but there's so little of it comparatively that the game kinda feels short in terms of actually playing it.

Still it's a lot of fun. The setpieces are neat too.

MGS4 is the worst MG in the series for me, personally, although to be fair MGS2's plot was terribly convoluted and I only enjoyed it more because I loved it as a kid.

I would say 2 and portable ops is the worst imo. I actually like 4 a lot. Is mgs1 still sony exclusive?(excluding the gamecube remake Twin snakes)
