I hope I get the job. Pay is nice, hours are fine, and I really need a sense of purpose.

I've worked one for a while, it's a decent job. Lots of pros and cons overall really.

Can you guys detail how it works? Is it over Skype or something? I was thinking about tutoring English online but know little about it. Any details would be appreciated.

There will be some sort of face-to-face chat typically. Sometimes they have their own program, and other times you will need skype.

There are no roles or leadership positions in the Fam. We are all equals.

At the one that I work at, you essentially log in to a unique client during your shift (or whenever, but you're less likely to get sessions when floating unscheduled and you don't get paid for just being logged in if you aren't scheduled) and if you get a request, you get a popup notification that gives you 15 seconds to accept or reject the initial request. If you accept, you can see what type of problem the student has. I tutor in English, Social Studies, Psychology, and Technology, so there's a pretty wide range of issues that I run into.

If you accept the request at that point, you're taken into what is essentially a live chatroom with a student, which includes a Whiteboard that both parties can write on, and the ability to share files in realtime so they can see any work you do on them. Something like that is very helpful in English sessions which tend to include a lot of proofreading, so you can highlight issues that you run into and discuss them with a student.

There are other caveats, but that's the basic rundown of how it works.

I am going to tutor them on how to be a world-class organization like the 11-time World Champions of Baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals.

Was it work-at-home?

Can you share the name of the company or PM me? I'm interested.

So you're going to teach them to take off 2 months early but say it's okay because they had success when they were in diapers?

The Brewers aren't a bad team this year, so nothing to be ashamed of.

I mean, are we going by a franchise's performance throughout history, or by their recent achievements, you seem contradictory.

well yeah, when you go to the post season you have to travel to different places. You'd know that if the last time the Pathetic cardinals won a playoff series you were out of diapers. But alas, the cards are pathetic.

2014 was literally 3 years ago. You keep acting like 3 years is a long time. If anyone just got out of diapers, that would be you.

That is wrong.

Also, anyone who uses the "age insult" is typically a younger person themselves.
