That set was so good.

I went to the Grand Prix in San Diego that year and I went 7-3. My brother won 3 byes by playing in a GPQ, but he got a shit pool and didn't make it to day two :(.

Just don't play outside of your friend. If you go to a local store you'll get beat down really badly by the good stuff, and then you're going to get the itch to make your deck better so you can beat that smug fucker <_<.

Oh, I know I'd never make it anywhere besides informal play with close friends. I hate competitive stuff anyway. At least MTG doesn't have an insane power creep like YGO. At least not that I've seen. It was one of the reasons I stopped playing YGO. And Dice Masters is kinda getting there too. That one invents new features and keywords and mechanics every set, but never uses any of them outside of that particular set. Plus the only releases nowadays are DC and MARVEL stuff. Getting tired of even MORE Batmans and Supermans. That's NOT why I started playing Dice Masters.

...Uh, hehe, went on a bit of a rant there. Sorry. n.n;;

Threw away my Mirrodin/Darksteel/Fifth Dawn stuff while moving 10 years ago.

I had Veldaken Shackles (got them for 10 cents back in the day), Engineered Exlposives, Swords of Light and Shadow and Sword of Fire and Ice.

Really pissed...

It is never too late to start collecting for modern. I just wanted a couple of decks for when the mood strikes so i build mono U Tron and Tooth And Nail. I did make out like a bandit when I first sold my collection though.
