Playing the original Japanese Dreamcast release and it is fine. I found more bullshit level design when I played Mario 64 about a month ago. Think people focus more on SA being bad etc due to the awkwardly animated cutscenes. The gameplay is still fine and Mario 64 had more awkward gameplay.

The camera sucks donkey balls but yeah I could run around the Sonic stages tbh. They were fun

The camera has a mind of its own every now and then, and there is at least one spot I can think of where you can straight-up fall through the ground (emerald coast, just before the first loop). But otherwise, yeah, it's a legit game. At least the Sonic and Tales parts. Definitely preferred it to 2.

it's amazing that you can practically get stuck forever if you have him bring the burger man into the sewer, because he just walks right above the surface of water instead of entering the hover mode, and thus can't jump out ... Copied to Clipboard!
