Are you offended by her senior picture?

17 y/o Eleanor Fitzwilliams, a student at Verona Area High School in Wisconsin is outraged after her senior picture was rejected because it was deemed inappropriate because part of her BRA was showing..and she posted a picture of the boys swim team in SPEEDOS to show the hypocrisy!!

She was told her senior picture could not be allowed in the yearbook because part of her bralette showed and had to send a new one...so she posted a pic of her rejected picture alongside the boys swim team to show the hypocrisy which has sparked a debate on how certain rules are harsh on females

She wrote "Here's my senior picture. Because you can see part of my bralette, it was "too inappropriate". Yet here's the boys swim team picture. My tweet wasn't to call out the boys it's about the school saying my pic wasn't ok but they show way more skin and get their pic seen a lot more"

Eleanor is planning to talk to the principal with a "fully prepared argument" as she's asked twitter for advice...

People are commending her and stating she should wear a SPEEDO too and see how they respond to it.

James Walnut, a member of that swim team also weighed in and said "Given that i'm the extra hefty one in the centre row of the pic, i guarantee that it was the last thing i wanted to see in the yearbook too"

But others said her outfit was offensive and said "An exposed bra is not a sports uniform. I understand how ridiculous and old school this is but it's sort of apples and oranges here"

Do you think her expose bra is offensive? let's see what people think

Different contexts. If a guy submitted a pic of himself a pair of boxers that was less revealing than the swim uniform that would get rejected for the same reason. It's not like you can just measure the surface area of exposed skin and treat that like it's the one variable that determines how appropriate an outfit is.

I don't disagree with this point.

But on the other hand, literally all that's visible is the band. It's not like she's showing cleavage. Every relevant part of her skin is covered.

Sure, maybe it's more like a boy submits a photo of himself with his shirt tucked into his underwear into his pants, or from behind at a urinal. No extra skin exposed, still inappropriate for a yearbook.
