Welcome to the 2017 Horror Icons tournament, Every few years I try to do this in October because I've spent my life loving horror and well, what better time to do these during the Halloween season.
Rules: 1. You can vote in as many of the daily matches as you want. 2. Matches will last 24 hours and will usually start around midnight EST. I may start a day earlier if work interferes with my sleep, but matches will still last 24 hours. 3. Ties will be broken the the next day with a bonus tiebreaker match. If the match is still tie after the first tiebreaker, we will do a third match which I will abstain from and only vote if the results end in a third tie. 4. Have fun. The Bracket: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=468012 Our opening matches feature some vets and some rookies. Match one pits the only character to ever win the contest, the iconic Dracula against one of the X-Men's deadlier foes, the Shadow King. The 8/9 match features two characters looking for their first win. Cujo has fallen the Predator and Carrie in the past, while Mrs Carmody was dealt a loss by Annabelle. Our third match pits two newer characters, one demonic and one serial. Will Mr Babadook pop up and take down the blind man or will Norman defend off the intruder. Our last match also features two debuts. The shock rocker and film director, Rob Zombie battles the invisible It. It's the singer of Living Dead Girl vs the Living STD!
