Social politics, work politics and actual politics.

Sometimes when i play something nostalgic like snes classic, for example, I remember how i use to think.

Huge imagination, naive, immature and stupid but it was nice not be limited by politics. Now you cant do a million things and everybody is VERY sensitive and they represent a group based on age, sex, gender, race or religion.

Literally just rambling. No real point here.

People here grew up with the assumption that everything is either good or evil and stick their political affiliations based on those interpretations

Compared to who, exactly? If anything, the stereotype of Americans is that we're uninterested in the subject, content to go about our day-to-day lives without much thought towards politics. Election turnout isn't a perfect measure of political interest, but it hardly suggests that we're obsessed.

Around 25-30 years ago Rush Limbaugh started teaching how fun it was to hate liberals. Then about 18 years ago Jon Stewart taught liberals how fun it is to call conservatives stupid. Then both sides learned from each other and hated and made fun of each other and here we are.

Because its everything. I use to do and say whatever. I got into plenty of trouble. If you dont want trouble, including being kicked from school or fired, you need to know the politics. I can get into fights at work now, apologize (even though i dont mean it) and get rewarded because i know the politics at work. Before id get fired for "sticking to my guns".

You are literally just rambling.

It's actually a form of the equivocation fallacy. The term 'politics' means different things in all the things you listed, or at the very least, means something so vague and ambiguous that it is pointless to compare.

They really should. We aren't out protesting tuition hikes the British, or marching over labor laws like the French. Our parties aren't actual parties with memberships and structures.

No need to be rude, you yourself admitted you were rambling.

Anyway, the equivocation fallacy is when you use a word that has different meanings in different contexts, and yet you only use a singular meaning to compare to different things.

An example on wiki is, "A feather is light, what is light can not be dark, therefore a feather can not be dark".

But you are proving my point well. You know what i mean yet go into the politics of using the exact specific words. Politics.

Isn't politics the basic outlining of your philosophical viewpoints essentially and therefore an essential and arguably most important aspect of life? Therefore saying blank is obsessed with politics is dumb. Not talking about it just means you don't wanna discuss a big contentious thing.

Ha! You don't know Americans. I bet an unbelievably high number of people don't even know who the vice president is. I bet majority people don't even know the branches of government. People don't the the difference between the bill of rights and the constitution. Politics is the last thing Americans obsess over.

Here's some average Americans
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58WQNu2GOr4

Only about a third of the population votes.

Getting your info about people from the internet is a bad idea. MOST Americans don't give a damn about politics.

Well, you are right that this is pointless, but I will respond and say that you are, without a doubt, one of the most condescending and obnoxious poster I've seen on here in awhile. You'd get a more insightful discussion if you'd stop insulting everyone who questioned your logic. Your faux-philosophical waxing comes of as equal parts pretentious and uninformed, and will win you no accreditation here.

Sure you aren't just grasping for straws here? You stated you were rambling, I agreed, you got mad that I agreed. If you were looking for a pat on the head and 'atta boy', you should just fucking say so in the first place. At least someone might respect that.
