I think it's really attractive when a guy asks to split the bill because they're usually the more chill ones to go out with.

I always at least offer to pay, most of the time though the girls I've gone out with either say they want to pay for themselves, or if we like, do dinner and a movie, I'll pay for the movie and she'll pay for dinner.

Me- don't be silly I asked you, I've got this.

Any further protest and we split.

Id say I've paid for 75% of first dates, 25 for 2nd and 0% of third.

The first date to me just seems traditional that I pay but after that you know each other a bit and can figure it out better from there.

I always offered. Never had a guy take me up on it though. But then I would just get the next one. I've never discussed it before the date.

I did know a girl who was very upfront about dates being dutch before going out with the guy. It worked for her.

I don't think you should expect to, but you should be upfront about it one way or the other.

It might just be the kind of girls I date, but I've had girls get really adamant about paying their share, or insisting (and going through with) paying for both on the next date if I pay on the first.

I offer to pay on the first date, I think it's fine if the person who does the asking gets the first tab. But if they insist I won't push it. One reason dating European women is so great, they insist on paying their share <__<
