So this is just some mildmanored wealthy accountant that takes vacations and cruises, has a home and girlfriend. Never shown violent tendencies or hateful propaganda. Has zero affiliations with hate groups or terrorists. Owns a few guns but none of those involved in this.

Yet ends up with an arsenal of automatic weapons in his hotel and decides to mindlessly kill as many people as possible at a country music concert..

Something isn't adding up here... something more wrong with this than what it seems.

I don't feel the slightest bit of sorry for the shooter and hope the guy is burning in hell right now, but seeing the information that is out there about him right now, it kinda makes me think he may have been holding in some very dangerous thoughts or beliefs in his mind for a long time while pretending he was handling everything well and finally decided to snap.

Careful before Zeus starts calling people high school dropouts, basement dwellers, and claims they're mocking a tragedy. He reads the news, takes in what he agrees with, and everybody else is wrong for asking questions.

I'm saying we don't know enough one way or the other to make that determination. In fact, his brother went so far as to say:

I'm not sure what you intend to "prove" but keep in mind that Bernie Madoff was a big success who did things for friends and family, too... until he was exposed as an embezzler who ran out of other peoples' money. One hit of medical marijuana and I basically turned into the Pyro in that TF2 trailer because my baseline brain chemistry is off in a way it flipped a psychosis switch. I flushed the shit and told my doctor I liked Nancy Reagan more than him and it hasn't happened since.

All we're doing is speculating at this point what his motive might be. As to the 'successful' investor title, what about that house he bought in Florida and sold at a loss? That doesn't strike me as someone who's 'successful' in the real estate market. Granted it was just on one property but still there had to be a reason he sold that house at a loss (especially since a lot of people want to live in Florida). I wouldn't be surprised if the police discover that the 'successful' gambler/investor wasn't as 'successful' as he claimed. After all it looks as if this wasn't a sudden 'snap' but deliberately planned (takes time to get the guns, explosives and all that the police found in his hotel room and homes).
