I'd say he has good reason to kill Maria, cause she was the reason why the Leones hate you. Plus she wouldn't shut up. Rockstar probably didn't think ahead on that. I doubt he cares about the Leones hating him. He'll do anything for money. He killed Kenji just because Donald Love wanted a gang war. Yeah that makes sense if the primary objective was to kill Catalina. As a kid I was horrified and never experienced anything like it, killing the damsel in distress you set out to save. Now I guess I don't mind it since looking back we don't actually do anything with Maria and don't really have much of a relationship.
