I know it's probably the most popular, but I get a bad vibe from it, like my resume is going to get on there and then shady companies are going to start contacting me for positions that don't really fit (which has happened to me after using Dice and Ziprecruiter). I mainly use Glassdoor and LinkedIn. I guess the same pitfalls can happen there, but the postings seem to have a little bit higher quality. I think the key is to make sure the site you actually apply through after you do find something is legit... maybe. I have no fucking clue. I always try to go to the company's actual career site once I do find a job on a big search site, but I'm not sure if they actually prefer receiving applications that way, or if the third party app site is legit. Edit: To clarify, by "third party" I mean stuff like Careerboutique and Ziprecruiter. I've seen those come up a lot and I don't have a lot of confidence in them. It's relatively easy to use and it does a better job of screening out junk listings than some sites, but the search function is still kinda bad And lol, ziprecruiter. At any rate, I've had more junk leads from my old Careerbuilder profile I haven't used in over five years and never got around to deactivating than I've had through Indeed.
