Sony over charges for their SD cards

Most certainly, but I know the brand name and that they are safe. :P

I was unaware of that. I've seen them before coming with various items as the included memory card, but such happens normally because of price rather than quality. Like the batteries included in most toys. :P

Like in my edit, I showed you a 128gb from Samsung, has a better transfer rate, and IMO Samsung is the better brand over sony, plus it is cheaper.

I'll stick to the site I'm using because of where I am. And for size, I won't bother with larger, I'm planning to go from my 32GB to a 64GB in my 3DS. The game install cap of 300 means a 128GB would be wasted space. I'm near the space cap on a 32GB with about 200 games.

My 15 years of digital photography and dozens of memory cards has shown some winners and losers. Not one SanDisk card has disappointed me. I stick with them now.

I think 32GB is the biggest size of SD card the 3DS is compatible with Delta. Have you already looked into that?

That's right, they don't do SDXC. You have to get SDHC which caps at 32

Officially. Anything larger doesn't normally format as FAT32, which is what the 3DS requires. Still can do it manually though. Just easier to say 32GB is the maximum than teach people how to format the rest. :P

It's possible they can't even read anything past that capacity or any SDXC cards.

People have used them without issue. An example here.

They were good years ago but Western Digital bought them so I assume they're worse now.

Not my point. There's a massive track record of products becoming shit after the company who created them is bought out. Also Seagate is better for externals.
