I found it really solid, excellent smart sci-fi. Nothing ASPLODES, which is probably also why it was great and intelligent.

I loved the movie. The alien plot was so imaginative that it was later ripped off by an episode of The Outer Limits. Charlie Sheen did a good job in the role. Unfortunately, he went crazy.
