All of them to be exact. Currently, I pay around $250,000~ for them every year. I make decent money as the owner operator of the store, but, imagine if I could save $250,000 every year. I am thinking of making everything automatic. Why do I need a cashier or someone to make the food? A company I discovered online allows a lot of what my workers do become automated. I can replace the cashier workers with ipads and the cooking stuff becomes automated with machines. The machines cost like $250,000 themselves but, they last longer than that and I get free support if I make the purchase.
Clean up of the restaurant is my hardest thing to automate. Maybe I'll keep an employee around just for that but seems like a waste of money to be honest.
But yeah, I am excited about automation.

So you pay your employees over $40,000 a year on average? That comes to over $20 an hour. What a garbage ass fake topic.

As an employer, employee expenses does not just cover salary. There's also benefits and other tax related expenses (e.g. pay half of social security tax). There are also other non-employee-specific expenses, like payroll.

But it's not really realistic, as those high tech electronics require regular maintenance, and increased IT security (especially if you don't want to be hacked).

I'd be fine with it as I hate talking to people.

But I think you'd lose some diversity tax breaks in the process.

Honestly, it really does not matter if TC made up everything about this story just to drive a point.

Full automation is coming, whether we like it or not.

No need for security if they are not connected on the internet. Local, hardwired connections are pretty much unhackable.

Well yes, but those are going to be needed with or without employees. That is not something that you can add as an added cost to automation.

No, they're not. If someone can get physical access to the machines, they can get inside them if they were really determined enough. You'd still need proper security measures in place to prevent these kinds of attacks.

A camera? One employee (IE, owner)?

No one is going to physically get into the devices during operating hours.
