I grew up in Cali. Every year a new development would pop up in a fire zone and ultimately burn down.

Yeah its pretty crazy in California right now. Where I live there's ash covering everything which coupled with how dry everything is now means another fire could start any moment. I mean there's so much smoke in the air it almost feels like it's about to rain or something with how thick the air is.

Despite being 50 miles away from the major fires, I hadn't heard anything about it. I also don't turn on my TV often, though. But I'm not surprised since this happens every year.

Really sad for the loss of life because of how quickly it spread.
