It's a very loose adaptation of a Douglas Adams work and did a very good job of keeping that style, if that tells you anything about the tone of the show. And it's like a supernatural-ish crime mystery. It's batshit insane and I loved it. Only 8 episodes and they're all on Hulu, so fairly easy access if you want to give it a try

I'm actually a bit worried about how different it's going to be watching it week by week. I binged season 1 in like two days. Though like you did, the weeklong speculation may make it even more interesting.
