I think youre overreacting to comments which are mostly in the vein of like "how on earth does anyone botch a thing like that" though there are some in the "this is just more proof hes a got narcissistic personality disorder" camp which is about the most extreme it got.

The real issue here is that it feeds into the narrative that the guy doesnt care about responsibly managing the military between his feud with the gold star family, his tendency to rubber stamp risky military operations, the fact that the military has killed more civilians in Iraq/Syria/Afghanistan in 9 months of trump than they did in 8 years of Obama.

Cops in general are very great.

They do a job that has the potential to be incredibly dangerous and they have to be ready on any given day to potentially have their lives on the line.

Your average cop is not a racist.

Your average cop does not commit crimes or flaunt the law.

Some cops do and they *should* be punished. And transparency and accountability in the justice system is what we should be striving for.

We should not strive for the casual villainization of the people who (for the most part) are all just trying to serve and protect. That only widens the rift between civilians and law enforcement.

She likely said it because Memphis is one of the top 10 most dangerous cities in the country when it comes to violent crime, and the murder rate there is the highest its been in decades.

Like, to put it into perspective:
