Best Film

Slight changes:

Episode 1
Anakin should have been a teenage gearhead. Terrifyingly strong in the force. Hardened from growing up in the ghetto, a slave falls in love with the queen.

Episode 2
Hyped up to be the Chosen One, Anakin feels the burden of saving everyone. He remembers Qui-Gon arguing when the Council refused to train Anakin and can sense other Jedi do not like him, so he feels like an outcast. Sees horrible violence and destruction during the clone wars and wants it to end. Palpatine, being a good friend/mentor, teaches Anakin that using power for the greater good is necessary.

Episode 3
Basically it all builds up to the Jedi looking like the bad guys from Anakin's perspective. It all builds up. Anakin ignoring visions of his mother because of his Jedi duty. Yoda persuading Anakin to ignore similar visions of his wife. Jedi Council acting sketchy then finally attempting to assassinate Palpatine who just revealed he knows secret Jedi techniques that can save people.

Episode 4
Anakin Skywalker the legendary war hero has been killed during Order 66. Twenty years later, Darth Vader has risen to power. Luke Skywalker blows up the death star. No changes.

Episode 5
No change.

Episode 6
No change again.

Episode 7
The good guys aren't the resistence. They won in RotJ. No third death star. We see the OG three on the same screen together. Leia dies in olace of Han. In the sequels she can ambiguously help through the force via wind blowing directions and/or whispers voices visions.

I have always said that he should have been older. like at least 30 when he finds out he's force sensitive. in the original trilogy, I always got the impression he was much much older, and that he met Obi Wan as an adult. him falling to the dark side would make more sense when he lacks childhood training.

Episodes I through VI deal with Anakin's fall and redemption. in order for that to work, the movie has to show him at his most innocent. this wouldn't be feasible if he was any older.

Nah, Episode I feels like it doesn't even belong in the PT. Maybe as a prologue, but it never seems to matter in the overarching story other than introducing Ani, Obi, and Padme.

it is a prologue in a sense. it was intended that way.

Well maybe not thirty, but definitely not a child. Late or young adult is fine. And it would mirror Luke starting late.

I feel like the age was right for Episode 1 but what they should have done was made him comfortbly wise beyond his years. He should have been constantly making passing remarks that made Qui and Obi think long and hard about their closely-held beliefs instead of constantly making passing remarks that made the audience want to leave the theater.
