And 3 was definitely better Per the above post, Platinum fixed all but one of the glaring issues with Diamond and Pearl, doing things like speeding up the game engine, adding a wider selection of fire-types, writing in a villain, and making many of the new evolutions actually available for an in-game team. The one issue it did not fix was the necessity to bog your team down with HM moves. And yet somehow, S&M is worse, even though it did away with HMs. That is the only significant change I liked (unless you count the day care not leveling Pokemon up as significant) - everything else dumbed the game down and made it require zero brain cells to play.
