They will be so far away that as long as they pray in the direction of the sun they'll be praying towards mecca.

Any animal can be eaten as a case of necessity, so if the only thing to eat is space pigs, they are allowed.

I hope, but honestly it's just wishful thinking. With that said, at least the number of religious people are down. We're seeing record high for non-denominational believers. It's just one step to being an agnostic and eventually being an agnostic atheist.

If your only two options are "eat pork" and "starve to death" you're allowed to eat pork.

Also, if you eat pork by accident, as long as you've done your "due diligence" to make sure it was pork-free, it's not haram as long as you stop as soon as you find out there is pork.

I see it differently. The further away you are, the easier it is to "hit your target". Your cone of prayer is equal to your visual field. It is much easier to contain an apparently small object within your visual field than an apparently large one.

It's funny to think people believe that space travel and inhabiting other planets is ever going to happen. The human race will not be in the least bit concerned about pushing their limits for the long, foreseeable future.

In your new life on Mars, there will only ever be artificial gravity, satellite internet and cell service, zero resources available for comfort and survival, and an overall shitty existence. It's not going to happen. And if humans ever discover a way to create an atmosphere for Mars, it will take millions of years, if not billions of years for it to become a real planet by which point the human race will most likely be gone.

If an atmosphere was established on Mars via some sort of space magic that doesn't exist, the next step would then be for the icecaps to melt and begin life for the newly birthed planet of Mars. It has been suggested that during this step they would unleash thermonuclear weapons to fill the atmosphere with carbon and create green house gases to warm the planet.

Even following the rise of surface temperatures in the past 70 years on Earth, it's going to take a long ass time for the planet to warm up. Theoretically, if we were able to just keep filling Mars with heat, by the time it reached a condition to where the planet developed climates weather, there would be so much carbon in the air that nothing would be able to breathe there, rainfall would be acidic, etc etc.

It's just not possible with our current capabilities and probably won't be in 10000 years either.

It's my personal prediction that humanity will be "destroyed" by a combination of automation and matrix-like artificial reality. That's where we're headed. Technology continues to focus on alleviating minor needs and substituting our drab and complex realities with more exciting and simplistic ones. Governments are increasingly focusing on the personal comfort of their citizens and their accommodation in an increasingly automated workforce. Unless we have some kind of cultural revolution where we re-aim our goals as a species after having "beaten life", then we'll continue on that very bleak, un-human path towards maximum comfort and minimum human input.

This is actually my take on the Fermi paradox as well.
