Has anyone else noticed that when a game is being reviewed, the inventory system is never brought up unless it sucks? A good inventory system makes or breaks a game for me and a well put together one is very enjoyable for me. I guess I'm gettng old when my favorite part of a game is the inventory and menu. I like it to be complex, but also accessible. One of my favorites is Deus Ex, you have all the information you need at your fingertips. Past conversations, photos, notes and even notes that you can add yourself (I don't know why other games don't do this). What are some of your favorite inventory/menu screens?

RE4, I loved how you could custimize what it looked like, even if picking/using an item would likely screw it up. Anything with grid based inventory is good to me.

Crashlands is interesting in that it tries not to even have an inventory. Anything you gather, you just have and can use at the appropriate time. It's not perfect since it's not always easy to tell how close you are to having what you need (though you can track crafting so that you can, but you can't track quests that need you to gather X amount of thing.)
