Second lowest serial number on a bill ive found ever.

Its a series 2009A $100. LD00005269

So its bill number 5,269, which is pretty low but not low enough to make it super collectible, but as with all my star notes I plug em into the database and...

http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup/100/2009A/ld00005269

hot damn. super rare.

awesome! I might try to sell this one soon. it isnt in the best of shape but I feel like this would easily sell but i could be proven wrong!

Oh man I almost found a super radar last night! A super radar has the same number at the ends with 6 of a kind filling it out, ex 54444445

So I had a fifty from a few weeks ago that was super close 45555551.

Then last night on a series 1988a, 01111115

I am on the cusp of big money. Ive also found six numbers in a bill out of 8 like 5 or 6 times, but never seven which is good money as well.

I dont know how many bills im going through a day, but hundreds at least. i should be well on my way to filling in quotas for the odds of some of these(some are 1 in 11 million and 1 and 1.1 million or so some guy figured out not sure if accurate)

No, thats just the low serial. If people collect low serialed bills they want something lower than the thousands. hundreds, such as 00000123

But as far as star notes go, this one is pretty rare. So in that regard it IS very collectible. If you click on my link it shows it is pretty rare.

I like the fact its lower serial which makes it a little more collectible but that alone without the rare star note wouldnt mean too much.

what's the best case scenario? like, say you found 00000001 (or ...0 if they count from zero). or 12345678. what would it be worth?

A lot of these bills I find are worth a few bucks over face value, so not really worth it to resell on a place like ebay, but im just hoarding and will make decisions later. this is a free hobby. I have around 1,300 dollars "invested" in this, which I do consider an investment. Its money sitting on my table but I am not spending it because I know its potentially or in some cases absolutely worth more than face value.

But if you found bill #1(they start from 1), they go for a thousand bucks-several thousand. Lower serial bills(under 100) can sell for a couple hundred or so i think, stuff like a full solid(77777777) can sell for couple hundred as well.

The most valuable is bill number 1. In ANY condition they are likely to sell for several thousand dollars

some well circulated examples of bill #1 in this video

well circulated 2001 $5...4 thousand dollars
well circulated 2001 $10...5 thousand dollars.
crisp uncirculated 2001 $20....12 thousand dollars
near perfect(graded 67/70) 1977 $1....11 thousand dollars

Okay so today I found another star note from a low print run of 320,000

http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup/20/2013/mg06624869

Now something to note, it isnt merely just the print run. This one has 4.48 million printed through all its runs. The hundred i mentioned at the top had a total printing of only 960,000.

If you have any star notes(on all US bills, an asterisk sized star next to the serial number) I suggest going to this website and plugging them in. Its easy to do and you might have something worth more than face value, if you feel like trying to sell it.

Also about those two super radar bills I almost found...I came extremely close yet again today. a 2013 $5, serial 91000009

Im getting close. one number away from a super radar three times in a few weeks. hot diggity damn
