With more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram, Hannah Polites is well aware that her fitness and bikini photos have gained her lots of attention. However, 26-year old model and midwife says that since becoming a mother to daughter Evaliah in 2016, shes lost many of her male followers and has become a constant target for internet trolls.

I definitely have lost a lot of male followers and people that maybe arent interested in babies but Ive gained a lot of mummy followers since my page has changed a lot, reveals Polites in an interview with the Gold Coast Bulletin. Evaliah is a part of me, but I try not to share too many pictures of her because thats not why people followed me in the first place. I think my followers have grown with me: the girls who were 20 are now 26 and they want to see more about babies and marriage.

While pregnancy and motherhood may have sent some men in search of a new, childless, Instagram beauty to follow, Polites has been trying to cope with the onslaught of parenting criticism from keyboard warriors.

A majority of the trolling chastises the fitness model for seemingly not spending enough time with her child. I think if Evaliah isnt in the photo they just assume Im not with her, Polites said.

As if motherhood isnt already hard enough, three weeks after giving birth, Polites also was slammed for the way she held her newborn. Looks like shes got more attention for her phone than supporting than little babys [sic], wrote one person. Another added, You look good but please dont hold that baby like that.

Polites was quick to reply to her critics, writing, Calm down people, I know how to hold my baby safely and have barely left her side for more than a couple of minutes since she was born. You can bond with your child without needing to lose your identity.

Luckily for Polites, she has a strong fan base that helps keep the trolls in check. One supporter came to the new moms defense saying, Good on @hannahpolites for looking so fricking amazing 2 weeks after giving birth while she just probably stopped for two seconds from rushing around to take a photo! Because I know if I looked that good then Id be doing it too! Get some life experience before you judge every single mother out there!

Life after baby may have had its ups and downs for the Instagram favourite, but Polites remains unapologetic in her use of social media, combining the same fitness posts from her pre-baby life with intimate breastfeeding snaps. its a normal part of life, she said. Ive had so many people come up to me and say thank you for sharing that photo (of breastfeeding).

While trolls are unfortunately, inevitable when it comes to social media, Polites has expanded her brand to include a fashion line named after her little one, Evaliah Grace.

Let's be honest, and call me insensitive all you want, but it's the truth. Most guys add women like this because they are hot, they like to look at their pictures of them in skimpy outfits and bikinis. Now when she's posted with her baby in most of the pictures, it's kind of weird to find a level of sexiness with the baby there. It's turned more cute and "mom" than sexy and available, and I can see a lot of guys having trouble continuing to follow her and being interested in looking at baby pics.

But at the same time, I don't feel bad at all, because she is a model and has a career focused around her body, and got so many followers to begin with because of how she looks. It wasn't her wit and good personality that got over a million followers. She has focused her life around how she looks.

Well she has new mommy viewers who either like or hate how she is raising her child, but most men will have bailed unless they are dads themselves.

I just looked at her instagram and sifted through her photos. After her baby, her body got worse and 99% of her pics posted are now about her baby.

Obviously guys who added her to deed to her are going to be turned away

She was tits and ass, not many men care that she is now a mommy, and has baby fat from her pregnancy. They also do not see baby pics as sexy when this woman was only popular cause of her looks.

That's kinda why I've given up on Facebook. Other than selfies, puppies and babies, what the hell else goes on there?

WTF apart from massive tits I don't really get why she's so popular. I mean compared to the other people on the internet and relatively speaking she's a bit meh. Especially the face. Obviously if you saw her outside you'd think she was nice but compared to what else is available on the net makes me wonder why people settled for her?

A lot of men prefer models and people in clothing to straight up porn.

They think porn is seedy and for losers while this stuff is what "men" look at.

Meanwhile a lot of women like looking at other women. For tips or ideas or gossip or jealousy.

Which is not true of porn.

This is true. There's an Australian gamer lady called Alanah... something that I sub to. Pearce? Anyway as soon as I saw the first video with her boyfriend in my subscription feed I remember thinking "A lot of her subscribers won't like that." Sure enough there was a reddit post in /r/niceguys a while later from that video showing a bunch of people complaining and unsubscribing.

The same thing probably happened to Dodger. On one hand good on them for just doing it anyway. If neckbeards have these weird issues with women it's their problem. A lot of these girls like sharing their lives and what they do etc and that's part of the appeal, or often it's a hobby and not their job to be a strange alternative reality fantasy for a bunch of dudes.

But on the other hand, know your audience and product. Like if I sold burgers for a living I would avoid mentioning how fat they can make you. If I had a celebrity endorse my brand of yoghurt or whatever I wouldn't upload a snap chat of them eating a rival brand.

Well yeah, it feels weird fawning over a girl and then they start posting videos of their boyfriend and stuff. Personally if I'm talking to a girl, and think that maybe we could have something, and then they bring up a significant other I just drop the subject and talk to them less and less
