I don't know why people are dumping on this so much.
If there was a way to do a super hero horror movie, this is it. A group of mutants with terrible nightmarish powers they can't control is a different take on X-Men. I feel like I would have loved this if it being New Mutants was a TWIST, but going in knowing it's X-Men just makes it feel really stupid. The trailer makes this look like a totally worthless throwaway dumb teen horror movie.
