You don't have to say anything, just smile at her when you see her.

I'd suggest you not ask any coworkers out. It's too awkward.

She probably has a boyfriend. At least in my experience they all did. Just move on.

I wouldn't say being shy is my problem but my confidence certainly needs work. Apparently the "fake it until you feel it" saying works for some. Perhaps you should give that a try. I mean the more you talk to attractive girls the more easy it becomes doing so.

The thing is if I ask her out I'll just switch departments, because that's a thing I can do.

Plus I figured out something to say... I said bye when she left and smiled like an idiot for a minute afterwards.

You mean this?

It was a joke topic but no one responded because no one watched the video. Plus I was thinking of asking her about the mysteries of Stonehenge. The best kind of humor is stolen from someone funnier.

Most likely. No risk no pain no gain. You don't get very far in life without getting hit in the balls a couple times.

I wouldn't do that. I don't know how it is at your work but in mine, switching to another department makes you lose seniority. You start at the bottom of said department and have to work a long time to get a lot of hours and to even get off on holidays/weekends. I learned that when I asked my boss about moving up to another department.

I've only been working here for 3 months. Plus I need to transfer to another store altogether. The other one is 20 minutes closer.

I don't think I'm tacky enough to make that happen.

Unless it's a job you don't care about, of course.

So basically instead of jumping to asking her out, you *may* want to talk to her first and figure out details like if she's currently seeing somebody.

I think vaguely know how you feel. At the shelter I work at, there's this girl who works in the case management department who makes me blush every time she passes my door to use the restroom. I'm like in a different department from her, but we're both essentially in the same building. She seems cool to me but I just can't freakin' talk to her because I'm too damn nervous to say anything to her. I'm too damn nervous to say anything to anyone in general; except during physics class, where I can talk to my classmates about my most hated subject. Ironically, it's my favorite lecture class because it encourages participation in the lecture, whereas the instructors in my other two math classes ignore me or pretend I've said nothing at all. Anyway, there's this cute girl in my workplace, but holy hell does she make me nervous when she's around me, which is why I can't even say a bloody word to her. Even if I wanted to talk to her, I really have no clue what I would talk about. How would I even talk to her? Because I am very certain that calling her as she walks across my supervisor's room would be highly unwarranted and just too goddamn creepy. So I'm just content with not talking to her at all; she seems too outgoing and loud for my tastes anyway. It's basically her looks that attract me. >_>

Anyone who thinks initially talking to a person merely because you've found them only physically attractive. Treat yourself and others with dignity.

You: How's your shift going?
Her: "A random comment"
You: "Random joke directly related to her random comment"

Did she laugh?
1. Yes. Introduce yourself. Ask her name, even if you know it. Try to learn more about her while telling about yourself.
2. No. Walk away.

She's my very scarce type. As if it isn't just one huge coin flip.

I've met lots of decent people. I'm just not attracted to most of them.

I got married 6 weeks ago. I met my wife almost 2 years ago. For the first month I knew her, I never once thought about if I wanted to have sex with her or to pursue her romantically. I simply talked to her like we were both asexual beings.

Stop assuming that every women you meet that has common interests and treats you kindly is going to be a sexual partner.
