Hatchet, the story about a young man stranded in the woods after a plane crash with only his hatchet as a companion.

The Ralph S. Mouse series about a mouse that lives in a hotel (?) and eventually rides a motorcycle.

Dear Mr. Henshaw, a book about a kid with a weird name who's dad isn't around and the hardships he faces as a kid. It struck pretty close to home for ol' Yari.

Wayside School series, a series about a bunch of wacky shit happening in a school that was built vertically instead of horizontally.

There was no original author. Written by committee basically under a fake name.

Technically the same guy did flesh out the outline given to him for the first batch of books, but theyve all been rewritten and reprinted under the same title but significantly different content two or three times.

Series of Unfortunate events. Must have read them all 20 times. The show is amazing and it's still one of my favorite kids series cause my life long bad luck is EXTREMELY relatable.

Captain Underpants was always good for a laugh.

That book series (minus the few missing ones the library just didn't have) with the orphans in the red box train car thing.

Vaguely remember the series that was written as a diaries of different ladies.

Sadako and the 1000 paper cranes.

For some reason my school was huge on Roald Dahl, the guy who wrote 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. We were read that book to us in a 2nd grade class along with a few other of his books. I'm pretty sure we were read 'B.F.G.' or Big Friendly Giant, which was kind of creepy since the giants could eat people. And 'Matilda' was a classic - that scene where the kid was forced to eat a chocolate cake was insane.

When I got to middle school, I went back and basically reread everything he wrote because I had such vivid memories of hearing the books.

The worst fucking book I've ever read. The first 14 chapters is some kid who sits around his cabin doing nothing. After that, he finally goes with some Indian to do nothing again.

After that, I got took out of that bitch's class because she hated my mom and took everything out on me. So I never finished the book. Thank god.

IIRC white fang was the one with the dog that was attached to a sled to pull it single pawdedly and was able to move it whereas the team of dogs couldn't.

There was also call of the wild, they are practically the same book so it may be that one though.
