I love curry but I've only ever had Indian and Thai curry. I got some Golden Curry from the store though so I'm gonna see how it turns out

Have you ever had Japanese curry?

I have had "Japanese" beef curry on rice before that i really enjoyed. Then owners of that restaurant changed and it sucked after that

Yup. Curry House is my go-to restaurant for Japanese curry and currently their own brand of curry from House Foods is my go-to curry style/flavour. I almost always get chicken curry despite me constantly telling myself to try something new. Next to Japanese curry I like Thai curry, namely the yellow curry. Following that would be Indian curry, namely chicken tikka masala.

Per the suggestion of a Boy Scout adult leader's wife, I'm taken to mixing Vermont Curry and Kokumaro flavour in a 50/50 ratio. Turns out pretty good. I just need to find a way to use less water without burning the curry and without having to keep stirring the pot.

It's the worst of the curries, including Irish.

I think I might add some chili paste to give it a little more oomph

It is the weakest of the curries

Try it as is to start then work from there

I still enjoy it for what it is

I love the House brand "Vermont Curry" (there's a lengthy story about how it got such a strange name), it's a sweet curry, has a light cinnamon-like scent. I make it w/ chicken, potato, carrot, apples, and pineapple.
EDIT: It's a Japanese brand, since TC was asking about Japanese curries.

Turned out pretty good. I ended up using 3 times the amount of curry to give it more flavor. No spicyness at all so I did add some sambal and ginger.

I liked it though I think I'm gonna order some vermont curry and mix the two next time.

Only know what I've read about it but it sounds like it is richer and people say it has hints of apple and gouda

Mixing the Kokumaro and Vermont flavours was definitely better in my previous batch of curry. Vermont by itself didn't seem that strong in flavour. That or I didn't add enough curry base.
