Holmes near the top although you have some who are famous mostly because they're more recent and served prison time -- ie, Dahmer, Gacy, etc. Muscles posted... Like a mass murder kills a huge mass of people at once, but not necessarily over a long period of time, while a serial killer kills people over time, but not necessarily a lot of people at a time.
