I don't know how it broke tbh. I wasn't doing anything to it. I think maybe I just messed around with it too much as my headphones were starting to only work from one side. I will say, I was able to get it out, just by pushing the plug still attached as hard as I could, and then pulling out, which made it to where the broken part stuck on.
