Yes No View Results Mitchell Elementary School in Bridgewater, Massachusetts has apologized after a photo of a visit by a PILGRIM reenactor was mistaken for a SLAVERY RECREATION! Thousands have shared the picture after it was posted on Facebook and people demand that the "Pilgrim" educator be fired for this photo. Superintendent Derek J Swensen said that the black girl had "volunteered" to pretend to be a toddler and not a slave and has apologized..but that didn't satisfy for those that saw it Apparently it was a pilgrilm visiting the school from a "local living history museum" Plimoth Plantation and the educator demonstrated clothing worn by people in the 17th century. The cloth leads connected to the back of the toddlers clothes used to keep them upright while they were learning to walk and the black girl had been roleplaying the part of a toddler, not a slave.
