Not sure what he used to smoke, but he gave up smoking before I was born. My grandma gave up smoking at around the same time. Granted, she still had issues with cancer because she hung out with smokers.

Smoking is a vile habit. Even the smell is rather awful... well, scratch that, smoking CIGARETTES is disgusting (weed, too), cigars don't always smell awful.

my dad used to smoke black and mild vanillas while i was growing up but he developed emphysema so he had to quit.

I don't know what brand of smokes my dad preferred. He switched to cigars long before I was born and smoked a pipe all the days I knew him before he died (not tobacco related).

I still have his collection of pipes. There are around 25 of them but you can tell which style he preferred by the stems.

my dad had a pipe collection too. in a sherlock holmes pipe cabinet that was pretty neat. but i never actually saw him smoke from a pipe lol.

My dad only smoked cigars rarely when I was younger. Hasn't touched one in nearly a decade.

My dad used to smoke Gold Leaf tobacco, He quit several years ago due to a heart attack though and hasn't touched a smoke since. As for me I too smoke Gold Leaf mostly. Although for the past month or so I've been experimenting with vaping so haven't smoked.

My dad has always been 100% against smoking. He even forbade most of my mother's family (she never smoked, but her sisters and mother did) from being allowed in his house back when he lived in the same town as them.

My dad smoked when I was a little kid. As best as I can recall, he went with Salem cigarettes most of the time, occasionally going with Kools.

He quit smoking when I was about 6 - I think the last straw for him was this procedure he went through to clean a bunch of accumulated crud off his vocal cords. It did a number on his voice to the point that Mom had to take over yelling duties for a while (before that procedure, Dad could holler like a USMC drill instructor if he so desired - it really put me and my sister in line).

don't know about my biological father, but my grandfather who came the closest to being my father figure, smoked dorals or however the fuck its spelled. when I was younger and before I was born he smoked dutch master cigars as well.
