For the sake of the topic, lets just assume that your invisibility magic is only valid when someone is looking at you. So if no one looks at you while you are on camera, it will record as such. But if they do happen to briefly look at you before falling back asleep or whatever they were doing, you will only appear for that brief amount of time when they watch it back.

That's what he said. As long as someone should have seen you when it happened, you are visible. If there is no one looking at the monitor when it happens, you are invisible, and don't show on the tape later

What happens if you are on camera, and invisible, but the guy then looks at the monitor and you become visible? Do you show up on tape as magically appearing out of nowhere?

Nose won't count as long as you don't directly look down at it. Your limbs will not follow the same rule, though. They'll appear even if you indirectly and accidentally glimpse them.

Hair does, so you need to make sure it is tied back or something if you don't want it to randomly appear.
