Then there's those who really are 6 steps back being told to appreciate thier privileges by liberal college students going to school on their parents dime. Or suburban minorities who've never been in a fight telling us that we appropriated gang culture because we listen to music that actually reflects our reality. A lot of it just seems disingenuous. I fully realize my privilege where it's applicable and go about bringing awareness without pandering unlike a lot of virtue signalers. With that said I lose empathy (not anything significant, maybe become disgruntled is a better term) when someone who's come from a way better situation is gonna lecture me about how easy I've had it.
