Ultimately the problem is they don't know their fucking multiplication facts. I'll do my best to review with them whenever I can but at this point they got to know their multiplication facts better. I'm evaluated based on the scores they get and they are placed in classes based off their scores. I love the kids and I want them do well and that means at some point we have to move on to other topics. I don't know if this is good advice, but one way that did help me when learning them was that I noticed if the numerator and denominator are both even numbers, the fraction can always be simplified, afaik. I chose to teach it because I am very young looking. I'm certified to teach 6-12 math though. But yeah the math itself anyone could do. Teaching kids no matter what the grade level is challenging.
