Its been twelve years, but Rob Zombie is ready to return to the world he created in House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects. Bloody Disgusting reports that Zombie is directing some sort of follow-up to the 2005 Rejects but its unknown what that follow-up will be.

The Devils Rejects was a sequel to Corpses and followed the murderous Firefly family (Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie) as they tortured a group of innocent people while being hunted by William Forsythes vigilante Sheriff. Its unknown how Zombie will continue their story, as Spaulding (Haig), Otis (Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon) were all killed at the end of the film after a shootout with police. Plans for when Zombie plans to shoot the sequel are also unknown at this time.

Its possible the film could be some sort of prequel, although that may require new actors to take over the roles given the time between Rejects and whenever this film would shoot. A film about Dr. Satan is also a possibility, as the character was prominently featured in Corpses but left out of Rejects.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm a really huge fan of The Devil's Rejects. I don't remember much about 1,000 Corpses, but I have seen it.

I remember as a kid at the movies, when a trailer for House of 1000 Corpses would play, my mom would make me cover my eyes.

Didn't one of the main actors die in real life? Either way, haven't been too impressed with Zombies movies as of late. The witch one was awful

I like House of 1000 Corpses in a sort of guilty pleasure sense and The Devil's Rejects is legit good, but there's no way you can make another movie without doing a prequel and I doubt any younger actors will be as good as the originals.

Though I'd be happy with more Captain Spaulding even if it didn't make sense.

I remember watching both of those movies back to back when I was, like, 12 and they were....Meh. I don't have high hopes on a follow up being any good, especially after all this time has passed.

I think Rob is a talented director but has never been able to match that with his writing. Corpses is an absolutely awful movie, Reject's is solid, it has it's moments for sure, even if it doesn't hit it out of the park.

That said I have no idea where they could go with it, and frankly I believe Zombie doesn't either. He's falling back on it cause he needs something to reignite people's interest in what he's doing, so this would be it. But maybe he'll surprise a write a cool movie.
