Who do you get along with the most?

this question makes me uncomfortable. i dont think i had a favorite when they were around (or now even), although my maternal grandma and my paternal grandpa both told me on different occasions that im their fave grandchild. was mad awkward tbh

All my grandparents were dead before I had any memories of them.

My grandparents on my mom's side are worthless, abusive people so fuck them.

I loved both my grandparents on my dad's side but they, of course, died early.

My dead grandmother. I never met her ex-husband and my grandparents on my dad's side barely spent any time with me or my siblings when we were younger and now they both have dementia.

Only grandparent I ever met was my grandma on my mother's side. So she wins by default. Unfortunately she died when I was like 6

My mum's dad. He was great, got on well with him and he had a fantastic sense of humour and a great heart. My mum's mum died when my mum was a little kid. Dad's parents were nice, although my grandma was a paranoid schizophrenic and my grandad had dementia from around the time my dad was born so I never really got to know them well even though I saw them a fair bit.

All dead now.

Grandfather Father's side: dead before I could really get to know him.
Grandmother Father's side: stern and had little time or interest in me.
Grandfather Mother's side: Never really close, but at least he made an effort for a while.
Grandmother Mothers Side: showed blatant favoritism to a different grandchild, largely took to ignoring me.

I liked my mom's parents, but her mom more so since I got lots of time with her.

My dad's father was murdered before I was born, I've never even seen a picture of him, and no one talks about him.

My dad's mom died on Christmas Eve almost 3 years ago, but like most of my dad's family, she didn't want anything to do with me. We weren't close at all.

My mom's dad was great, but he got sick when I was young, and seeing him getting worse freaked me out. I wish I could go back and spend more time with him, instead of pulling away and avoiding his illness until he died when I was 16.

My mom's mom was a huge part of my life after my grandpa died. She died about 5 years ago, so I had 13 good quality years with her after my grandpa died. She was great.

I only really knew my dad's dad, and even then not that well because they all lived a few provinces away. I don't know about "favourite" though.

I'm gonna have to say my Grandpa from my Mother side. We used to play sports together all the time back in the day.

my mom's dad died long before I was born

her mom is great, but she lives kinda far away, so I don't get to see her often.

my dad's parents were both great. his mom died in early 2009; his dad a couple years after.

My Grandpa on my mother's side was my favorite person for the first 24 years of my life....until my son was born. He was the best man I've ever known and when he died it crushed me.

Grandpa on my mom's side. He raised me and was basically my dad. I called him my dad.

They're all gone now though.

Try and top this one. My great grandfather died in 1928. Only great grandfather mind you. And I'm only 35.

PGF: Wheelchair bound, but I've had fun with him as an adult playing Risk and Gin Rummy together.
