Only if it negatively affects gameplay. Some quick examples:

- Paid lootboxes affect drop rate or internal game currency cost of items in order to coax you into buying more lootboxes
- Paid lootboxes give palyers in MP a discernible advantage. Say an OP weapon that you can only get from a lootbox that makes players dominate.

If they're basically just single player cheats or cosmetic, then let people waste their money. It's when my game experience is intentionally lessened because I choose not to buy them does it become a problem.

Like so many other things loot boxes can be done well and be fun or just be a gimmick to try and squeeze $$$ out of players

on the one hand. i get why so many people are complaining, since you cant expect change if you dont say anything

on the other hand...i dont get why people care so much about loot boxes. if you stop buying them they will go away on their own.

I don't really care about lootboxes most of the time, especially if it's just for items you could get anyway.

The only kind of loot box that would keep me away from games is if they had a chance to give you an advantage in a PvP setting.

Depends. If they only contain cosmetic items like skins and whatnot then I don't care, and actually like them. Anything that effects gameplay makes the game an instant no-buy for me.
