Students at New York University are calling for a Professor to get the boot after he produced a slide show using TRANSPHOBIC language during a lecture!!!

Officials are now investigating after Sociology Professor David Sorbello asked students to complete a "female or shemale" quiz

The offensive presentation was created by him and encouraged his students to differentiate cisgender and transgender women pictured on screen!!

Images of the lecture were shared by Jasmine Cui who was appaled by the teacher's approach to trans issues!!

Jasmine said "RT if you think the sociology department needs to rethink its approach to teaching about trans issues. the professor was quoted as saying "so this is a lesson to you all not to get too drunk or you might take the wrong one home. entertainment & social media are already rife with casual transphobia, to allow its proliferatioin in our education systems will only allow for its perpetuation. say it with me PEOPLE ARE NOT PROPS"

Jasmine and thousands of others who saw it are now demanding David be fired..and as the tweets went viral, she later got an email that told them NOT to use a phone in class..and Jasmine said "he knows he's in the wrong"

Jillian Sternberg was the one who took the photo and shared by Jasmine who said "He never said what the point of the quiz was during the class, but when i addressed him afterward he said it was partly for HUMOUR and partly to discuss sexual dimorphism. He would comment on some of the pictures like, i'm definitely not going to the bar with you"

Other students have now taken a stand against him as Amelia Stachowiak is calling for his sacking.

Geneso President Denise Battles ssaid "A professor is reported to have presented materials and amde comments about which some students have expressed concern. We are taking the matter very seriously and are gathering the facts to determine if and what action is warranted. The classroom is an environment in which students and faculty can and should discuss challenign topics and ideas, which makes it all the more important that we gather and fully review the facts. We work diligently to sustain an inviting and supportive environment for people of all gender identities, expressions, sexual orientations, races, religions and other identities"
