I don't think I'm cut out for the kind of job where you have to send in a request for something, then send an email reminder to the person you sent the request to, then call them on the phone to ask them to do it, then finally walk over, stand by their desk and refuse to leave until you watch them do it.

But I guess that's what I'm going to have to start doing.

It's sad when they're even self-aware about this.

*sends email*
*no response*
*calls a week later*
"Hi, this is DevsBro."
"Hey DevsBro, we'll get on it."
*walks by a week later*
"Oh hey DevsBro, what's up?"

B**** you know what's up.

This is the reason I always show up in person right after electronic contact.

Can't trust anyone to do what they say unless you physically bully them to do it.

Unfortunately, most of everyone is still at the old office, which means I can't walk over.

I wonder if the company will cover costs for me to drive fourty miles round trip every time I need something done.

Or maybe just CC their managers on every email like an asshole.

That's a good alternative.

There's one team I have to work with where even the manager doesn't seem to care. I'd have to look up who is up the ladder from the manager.
