It happened to a player for the Ludlow Lions in a game against the Amherst Hurricanes when the mother of the black player said that her son, Kordell had just called out to the refs about an illegal tackle that a player of the other team said The Lions player who hasn't been named responded to Kordell (who plays for the Hurricanes) to "mind his own business" and then called him the n word..very LOUDLY!! Stacia London said about her son "He has never experienced something like this before" That word was loud enough that officials and other players, parents and coaches heard clearly. The Ludlow program sent an apology to the other team and say they were "ashamed" of what happened and the kid has been kicked to the curb. It said "There is no place for that kind of language in youth sports or anywhere else in society. This is definitely not the culture and attitude we are trying to insitll into these young impressionable ahletes" But Stacia would have preferred an apology from the child himself and signed by his parents. Her husband, Michael and the offending player's parents spoke to the boy and said the adults turned it into a lesson about adversity and not reacting to provocation. Michael said "I think he's hurt. It was the first time. He's never going to forget that. I spoke with my son. He was more mad that the game had ended than being called a particular word. It was a teachable moment" The opposing team forfeited because they didn't have the minimum number of playeres without him and it finished at 24-0. Do you think people use racist words such as the N or G word out of ANGER are actually racist? People use it not just if they're racist, but because it's a word of power. It's the closest equivalent to those literal Shout words of power shit in Skyrim. It's so taboo that it lets you get off steam that 'fuck' or 'shit' doesn't even come close to
I'm very concerned that a 9 year old said it though and especially to someone else. Either his parents aren't supervising him enough or they're teaching him bad shit. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
