this happens with a lot of games but it's pretty much across the board for Mario and Zelda. I think a lot of reviewers are caught up in the hype and are afraid to give a lower score to a Nintendo game because then they won't look like "real" gamers, so Mario Sunshine, Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, etc all get 10s and a few months later players go "wait a second... I didn't really like this game"

Every game is flawed though, so either you have to never give out a 10 or just say fuck it and give almost perfect games the score.
