Board 8 > When you enter a topic with over 50 posts, how do you go about posting?

Always wondered how we all differ on this. I am guilty of option 3.

Depends.

If it's political I read them all to get a lay of the land.

If it's a game series I really like (LoZ, KH, FF etc) I read them all cause fuck yeah.

But most of the time just start and end.

What a weird question. I doubt anyone here does the exact same thing in regards to every topic they open. Like every answer in the poll has applied to me at some point

Not at all. And "over 50 posts" is pretty vague. The same topic might get a different reaction if it only has 55 posts opposed to 455

I like how the political topics on this board start off with something like gun control and then 100 posts later everyone is vehemently arguing about Stevie Wonder drunk driving manslaughter charges.

In short, I find it's kind of a waste to read any of it.

Keep reading until I find something to respond to, and respond
Continue reading and responding until I get to the end

depends on whether it's something with a coherent storyline

if it's a general discussion topic (transience, smfffc) then I just read the last few posts

if it's an argument about some issue then I probably want to read everything

This, especially if I'm opening a topic I've already opened before, there's a case where I might read all posts, there's obviously Save Mys where I save without reading anything but the topic title... So on and so forth.
