So I went to the coffee place that I frequent for a beverage. Normally I use the drive-thru, but after sitting there for maybe two minutes, nobody came on the speaker to take my order, so I went inside instead to order

I went inside and placed my order and shit and said to the lady "by the way I was in the drive thru a second ago" and she was like "yeah sorry I had the headset off for a sec" (as she was walking back to make the drink) and I was like no worries at all

but in hindsight I realize it may have sounded like I was complaining, when I really just wanted to let her know I didn't hear anything and alert her to any possible like problems or issues with the speaker so they could take action on that, but since she was walking away I didn't get a chance to explain that that's why I brought up the drive-thru conundrum, not just because I wanted to find any reason to complain

shes so cute too maybe when I go monday if she's the one working there i'll be like omg I hope I didn't sound like I was being a whiny little asshole

I mean she recognizes me because I go there so often (and it's a small place out in the suburbs, not exactly high-volumes of traffic) so I worry on the off chance she took it that way, that maybe her opinion of me has soured

It's fast food. I guess you've never had the misfortune of working it before. When I worked at Dunks in high school, I was lucky if something like that was in my top 10 worst customer interactions of the day. She almost assuredly thought nothing of it

Hopefully so. Maybe if it's slow on Monday when I go, I'll bring it up and be like "about last Friday I just wanted to make sure I didn't come across like I was complaining, I just wanted to make sure the system wasn't broken or anything"

Even on the 1/1000000 chance she's actually attracted to me, there's no way I ask for a number or hit on her or anything because the last thing women want when they're working is to be hit on. I mean their literal job is to be nice, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be when she gets hit on just for doing her job but some oblivious incels think she's flirting with them

I would highly advise against that. Just be friendly (maybe flirty if you're comfortable with it) and act normal. If you bring that up it tells her you were thinking about it all weekend whereas she probably forgot about it and didn't affect her opinion of you in the slightest.

That is a good point I did not consider. Thank you for that
