Potential is the key word here. It could be nothing, or it could be something. I mean, if the Papadopulous and Manafort indictments were filed together, then these cases would be part of that too.....Anyone want to make guesses?

Yeah, I'm not counting the chickens, so to speak, but the Papadopulous plea deal and sealed charges is a pretty bad sign for anyone on Mueller's radar.

Also, what are people speculating? Who is left that could be a potential defendant?

Who knows. It could be anybody. Podesta, Kushner, Flynn, Sessions, Trump, Clinton, or some person no one has every heard of. What more Mueller has or hasn't found is anyone's guess at this point.

Can someone explain how she was involved in the investigation into the Trump campaign? I get that if the uranium deal was real (I haven't seen enough either way), that she could be charged, but wouldn't that be a completely separate investigation?

IIRC, Papdopulous was charged and plead guilty in July. Mueller managed to keep that under wraps for the past 3 months. He's apparently been cooperative too: a bad sign for other potential conspirators.
Carter Page and Mike Flynn are the low-hanging fruit now, and the former is breath-takingly stupid(he was literally on All In With Chris Hayes tonight talking about an active federal investigation in which he is involved).
It's all speculation, in any case. Mueller's a career prosecutor with an excellent rep. This will unfold as he wants it to.

IIRC, the scope of Mueller's authority is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 elections, but he also has authority to investigate and prosecute whatever other crimes he turns up, so it's not impossible.

Of course, no actual uranium was sold to the Russians.

But would that mean opening up a separate investigation or are you saying that it's a broad enough investigation to pretty much grab anything from parking tickets to high treason?

Forgive me if I'm being dense.

It's board enough that he can prosecute anything that he comes across in his investigation, if he so chooses. I doubt you'll see him go after parking tickets, but more along the line of white collar crimes.

Anyone that had any involvement with Trump is a potential defendant.

Also, people really need to stop pushing this "Hillary was the real colluder" nonsense. It's a complete non-story only used to deflect attention from the investigation into the Trump campaign.

This is correct. Mueller's authority is quite broad.

In any case, Politico has an interesting nugget: https://www.politico.com/story/2017/10/31/sam-clovis-senate-russia-investigation-244370
Sam Clovis is apparently cooperating with the Mueller investigation and testified before the grand jury. He was part of Trump's campaign and assembled Trump's foreign policy team(which included Papdopolous) and is also Trump's nominee to an important post in the Department of Agriculture.

I think you mean that he is a volunteer intern who Trump never even met, right?
