Apparently "lemonade" outside the US usually refers to lemon or lemon-lime flavored soda. Why is that? I mean I'm sure there's probably another name for the American version (I've read either "lemon cordial" or "lemon squash") but I can't imagine ordering a lemonade, getting a sprite and being told that's what I ordered lol...weird. Countries that aren't the US are weird.

Huh.

Though I would be down for trying a lemon soda. Closest thing I've seen in the US is lemon-lime.

I can't imagine looking the waiter in the eye and saying "I'll have a lemon squash"
