Depends on the black person

Me personally, I've had Filipinos, Puerto Ricans and Whites use the n-word around me and I'm okay with it. Its a term of endearment.

Or when I used to hang with my white high school friends, they'd make racial jokes but wouldn't use the n-word in the joke.

Code Switching. You use it when it's appropriate, when you want to sound more sincere or down to earth. Or maybe that's the way they actually talk and they're actually code switching to sound more "educated" in order to be taken seriously.

Depends on the situation.

At work, I speak in a certain vernacular that won't have people looking at me funny.

In social life, I speak in ebonics.

Like if I'm at work, I'm not gonna say "I'm finna go to the copier" but at home I'll be like "I'm finna go outside real quick"

Honestly, I couldn't even tell you. I haven't heard Kendrick's last 2 albums. I like Drake.

The only new rapper I think I listen to is Casanova. I prefer 90's and 2000's.

And the GOAT is Notorious BIG

Depends on the black person

Me personally, I've had Filipinos, Puerto Ricans and Whites use the n-word around me and I'm okay with it. Its a term of endearment.

They ever use it in a more general sense? I say it but it's more often like, "Damn, that ninja's always late," or something.

It's literally just culture and class. There's zero other explanation. If the Pilgrims had a bunch of Shaniqua's and Darmanes, and it was a lower class stereotype to be named Susannah, we'd be seeing the same thing.

I'm not talking about African-based names here, I'm talking about fucking insane names like Chunkybread (not a "real" name, but a real example, meaning that lot of names like this, but not this name).

But to be honest it's the Hispanic names that drive me crazy because some of them have 3 or 4 names and the way the system is set up it's hard to go by last name because it's buried in the middle because the "last names" are too long, lol
