Like some people argue, finely tuned balance in singleplayers games make the game boring becaise its so flat and limit fun and experimentation, but others argue it should be balanced so the players can play as the way the developer intended.
For example, in morrowind, you can basically craft a spell that can destroy all of vivec in 1 hit, or saints row 4, where they basically throw balance out of the window in favor for crazy idiotic fun to slaughter your enemies. Vs carefully fine tuned difficulty with steady curves that keep challenge and pacing steadily increasing whike making parts of game easier by making your character/player skill progress. Also it shoukd be an imbalance that come from game mechanics, and not exploit or bug. --- http://i.imgtc.com/iJyp6bF.png http://i.imgtc.com/ZBw36Qh.png Thanks for the peeps that made the pics <3 if i make typos it means i am on phone ... Balance is good but only to a point.
I've played games where there is no difference whatsoever between doing the normal, light and heavy attacks. Light attacks are quick but heavy attacks are powerful! But in the end, enemies die in exactly the same amount if time. Heavy attacks aren't easier to block/avoid, light attacks don't leave you vulnerable to being interrupted, at the end of the day they shouldn't have even bothered. Just give us one punch animation and spend that money elsewhere. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
