Thinking of getting a new phone, and I'm pretty much down to the Note 8 or Pixel 2 XL.

How has the Note 8 treated its current owners? Would you recommend it?

I've demoed both, and I'd buy a Note 8 over the Pixel 2 XL for sure. But I really like the S pen.

pixel 2 xl looks like a real turd:

- blue tint screen that even google admits is crap

- reports of burn in on the screen are rolling in

- bad audio recording quality, not that anyone cares though (https://tinyurl.com/ydch6bxk)

- reports of bluetooth audio problems

- no headphone jack

just seems like a bad product all around tbh

Too bad all cameras are amazing these days. Being the best isn't the biggest deal anymore, and Android has done a lot lately to improve software support for 3rd party devices.

You can't beat the S pen, tbh.

The S Pen is kind of its own thing. It doesn't even have competition. If the S Pen is useful to you, it can't be replaced by a competitors phone. If it isn't, the Note 8 is just an overpriced S8+. I love the S pen though.
