Yeah, all the girls on the bride's side didn't have their hair or make up done by someone who knew what they were doing. It looked like the bride just washed her hair and said it was perfect.

Fair point, but the entire situation has been painted as an unfortunate shitshow, so it's easy to be a little unsympathetic to the parties involved (especially the groom).

I'm not that surprised about the pics; I probably would have been a few years ago, but I've since seen other examples of weddings in more economically depressed parts of the country, and the story checks out. You have your mismatched wardrobes, your lack of a makeup budget, the absence of a professional photographer - since I come from a family where weddings are a big fucking deal, I just took all these things for granted, but I was being ignorant.

I feel we'd all have a healthy laugh and move on (and probably give them some B8 well-wishes) if this was a happy couple in love. The fact that all parties seem to be in miserable, self-inflicted situations makes it much easier to rag on em, sad as that is to say.
