I grew up watching more virile men live out the ideal fantasy Ive always envisioned for myself, but was too meek to partake. Youd think the juxtaposition would warrant introspection and personal growth, but instead Ive doubled down, and angrily cling to that template like a raft on the lonely ocean that is my life.

Its infuriating that a paradigm shift in society threatens to tear it apart. With no accomplishments to my name, what else do I have to parade around but my masculinity? The foundation is being stripped out from under me, and theres nothing but darkness below. Im scared. Im alone. And Im sad. So very sad.
